The BW-PT Program Design Workshop

Saturday, April 30th, 10am-2pm

Learn simple, results driven program design

  • The Program Design Workshop will provide you with practical knowledge not taught by most certification programs that you can apply right away and use over and over again.
  • Learn better techniques for applying sound scientific principles to guarantee results for you and your clients.
  • Set yourself apart from other trainers and get results for your clients quickly and safely.

Programming should be geared to each individual; however, the program framework is the same. This workshop is an opportunity for trainers and athletes to learn how to address every client’s goals with a simple system that works. Once the system is in place with the proper progressions, results are guaranteed. A program that does not illicit change in 12 weeks, no matter the training proficiency level is not doing all it should.

Brian served as the group leader during my HKC cert under Master RKC, Brett Jones. His direction and teaching protocol were simple and clear allowing an ideal learning environment. The HKC with Brian’s help was the best workshop I have ever attended. - Adam Lee, NSCA-CPT, HKC

The workshop will focus on five important elements that every training session should include:

80% of University Strength Coaches agree that Olympic lifts are the primary movements to include for total athleticism (NSCA 2007.)

  • Simple and Practical Movement Assessment and Dynamic Warm-up routines: Assessing a client’s movement ability and correcting for muscular restrictions at every session will serve to not only constantly evaluate progress, but to teach neuromuscular awareness and prepare the body for tension and proper movement.
  • Olympic Weightlifting Movement - Power Snatch and Overhead Squat: Including these athletic movements properly into programs yield strong, coordinated, balanced, and well-conditioned athletes. These movements can be broken into simple progressions and taught for safe and effective programs to any level.
  • Kettlebell Clean and Press (Jerk): Programming with kettlebells will combine resiliency, deep isometric tension, power, balance, and flexibility for individuals. The king of total body strength movements according to many among the RKC community is the clean and press (jerk).
  • Conditioning and Core Circuits: Learn results driven circuits that are simple and do not over-train the body. Metabolic circuits are a fine balance between intensity and low neurologically demanding movements. Learn progressions to move clients through this portion of the session safely and effectively.
  • Recovery Training: According to many strength professionals the key to training is not actually just the ability to perform, but also to be able to perform consistently and safely. Recovery of large body systems is the key to proper health and fitness.

With your registration, you will receive:

  • A full exercise manual with highlights of the entire 4-hour workshop.
  • Program Planning Outlines for simple and real-world application
  • A reading list of authors that have shaped the fitness industry
  • Special discounts on other workshops, programs, Success Team Training, and equipment

Testimonials

I have been working with BWPT for several years now. What started for me as a trial run, to see if I even liked personal training, quickly turned into a routine and fitness regimen that I can't live without. I have utilized BWPT for personal training as well as other fitness classes such as boot camps and Yoga. I've also utilized Brian Wright to support our Wellness program at work, which has been extremely successful. Brian is a talented professional who is eager to share his knowledge and expertise with others. Kelly T. Neiman
